Barrick

The canadian company Barrick is the leading gold producer in the world. It has operations in 19 mines in 10 countries. Barrick is present since 1993 in Argentina, and its activities include the operation of Veladero, ownership of the binational Pascua-Lama, and different areas of prospecting and exploration. The Veladero mine began operating in 2005, is located in the province of San Juan, at 4000 meters above sea level and directly employs more than 4,000 people.
